Ingredients:
- Gingerbread dough (store-bought or homemade)
- Powdered sugar (for decoration)
- Water (to mix with powdered sugar)
- Various candies (for decoration, e.g., sprinkles, marshmallows)
- Chocolate (for decoration, e.g., melted or in pieces)
- Green and red fondant (for decoration)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the gingerbread dough according to the recipe and roll it out to about 5 mm thick.
2. Cut out the walls, roof, and other parts of the house in your desired shape from the dough.
3. Bake the gingerbread pieces in the oven at 175°C (350°F) for about 10-15 minutes, until they are golden brown. Allow to cool completely.
4. Prepare the icing by mixing powdered sugar and water until it is thick and sticky.
5. Attach the gingerbread house pieces together using the icing. Start with the walls and add the roof last.
6. Decorate the house as you like with various candies and fondant. Use the icing as glue.
7. Allow the house to dry properly before serving or displaying.
