Ingredients:
- 200 g dark chocolate
- 150 g butter
- 200 g sugar
- 4 eggs
- 100 g all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and flour a cake pan.
2. Melt the dark chocolate and butter together in a saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth.
3. Stir the sugar into the melted chocolate mixture until well combined.
4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
5. Sift the flour, vanilla sugar, and salt into the mixture. Gently fold until all ingredients are combined.
6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
7. Bake in the oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the cake is set. Check with a toothpick; it should come out moist but not batter-like.
8. Allow the cake to cool before serving. Serve it with whipped cream or ice cream if desired.
