Ingredients:
- 200 g dark chocolate
- 150 g butter
- 200 g sugar
- 4 eggs
- 100 g all-purpose flour
- 50 g cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- A pinch of salt
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and flour a cake pan.
2. Melt the dark chocolate and butter together in a saucepan over low heat until fully melted and combined.
3. Add the sugar to the melted chocolate mixture and mix well.
4. Incorporate the eggs one at a time, ensuring to mix well after each addition.
5. Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Mix until the batter is smooth.
6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake in the oven for about 25-30 minutes, until the cake is set but slightly moist in the center.
7. Allow the cake to cool in the pan before serving. Optionally, dust with powdered sugar or serve with whipped cream.
