- 1 sausage link- 2 cups shredded cheese (e.g., cheddar or emmental)
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F).2. Bake the sausage link on a baking sheet for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
3. Meanwhile, melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the flour and mix well.
4. Gradually add the milk while stirring continuously until the sauce thickens.
5. Season the sauce with salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
6. Remove the sauce from heat and stir in the shredded cheese until melted.
7. Take the sausage out of the oven and pour the cheese sauce over it.
8. Bake for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese topping is beautifully golden brown.
9. Serve with mashed potatoes.
