Ingredients:
- 8 oz pasta (fettuccine or spaghetti)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
3. Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes until they are browned and tender.
4. Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream, allowing it to simmer for 2-3 minutes.
5. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, followed by the grated Parmesan cheese. Toss everything together until well combined, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
