Ingredients:
- 8 oz (225g) spaghetti or fettuccine pasta
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cups sliced mushrooms
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced mushrooms and sauté for about 5 minutes until they are golden brown.
3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Allow it to cook for 3-4 minutes to thicken.
5. Mix in the grated Parmesan cheese until fully melted and combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat evenly in the creamy sauce.
7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
