Ingredients:
- 400 g pasta (e.g., spaghetti or penne)- 800 g fresh tomatoes (e.g., Roma or cherry tomatoes)
- 3-4 garlic cloves
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish
- Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta in salted water according to the package instructions until al dente.2. Chop the tomatoes and garlic cloves.
3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
4. Add the garlic to the skillet and sauté for about one minute until golden.
5. Add the chopped tomatoes to the skillet and mix well. Cook for about 10-15 minutes, until the tomatoes are soft and the sauce has thickened slightly.
6. Season the sauce with salt and black pepper to taste.
7. Drain the pasta and add it to the tomato sauce. Mix well to coat the pasta in the sauce.
8. Serve the pasta on plates and garnish with fresh basil. If desired, grate Parmesan cheese on top.
