A delicious crème brûlée recipe that combines creamy sweetness with the refreshing taste of passion fruit. Perfect dessert to crown a festive gathering or a special moment. Preparation Time: 1 hour (plus chilling time)
Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 1 cup heavy cream - 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 4 egg yolks
- 1 teaspoon vanilla sugar
- 2-3 ripe passion fruits
- Sugar for caramelizing
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).2. In a bowl, combine heavy cream, milk, sugar, vanilla sugar, and egg yolks. Whisk the mixture until smooth.
3. Pour the mixture into four oven-safe ramekins.
4. Place the ramekins on a baking sheet and fill the sheet with hot water until it reaches halfway up the sides of the ramekins.
5. Bake in the oven for about 30-40 minutes until the mixture is set but slightly wobbly in the center.
6. Remove the ramekins from the oven and let them cool at room temperature. Then transfer to the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
7. Before serving, cut the passion fruits in half and spoon the pulp over the top of the custard. Sprinkle sugar on top.
8. Use a kitchen torch to caramelize the sugar until it forms a beautiful golden brown crust.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
