Ingredients:

- 6-8 apples (such as Granny Smith or Golden Delicious)
- 150 g sugar
- 80 g butter
- 1 tsp cinnamon (optional)
- 1 ready-made pie crust (e.g., puff pastry)
- Vanilla ice cream for serving (optional)

Instructions:

1. Peel and slice the apples.
2. Heat a pan over medium heat and add butter and sugar. Stir until the sugar starts to caramelize.
3. Add the apple slices to the pan and cook for about 10-15 minutes until the apples are soft and caramelized. Add cinnamon if desired.
4. Remove the pan from heat and cover the apples with the pie crust. Press the crust gently onto the apples.
5. Bake in the oven at 200°C (400°F) for about 25-30 minutes until the crust is golden brown and cooked through.
6. Allow to cool for a moment and carefully invert the pie onto a serving plate.
7. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream, if desired.
