Ingredients:
- 300 g pasta (e.g., penne or spaghetti)
- 200 g fresh spinach
- 200 ml cream
- 100 ml grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions in salted water. Drain and reserve a bit of the cooking water.
2. Heat the olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about a minute.
3. Add the fresh spinach to the pan and cook until wilted.
4. Pour the cream over the spinach and mix well. Let the sauce simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes.
5. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted. Season with salt and pepper.
6. Combine the cooked pasta with the sauce. If needed, add a little reserved cooking water to ensure the pasta is well coated.
7. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh basil leaves if desired.
