Serving Size: 12 pastries
Ingredients:
- 1 package ready-made puff pastry
- 200 g pitted dates
- 100 g blue cheese
- 1 egg (for brushing)
- Powdered sugar (for decoration)
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 200 °C (400 °F).
2. Roll out the puff pastry into a thin sheet and cut it into squares (about 10 cm x 10 cm).
3. Make a small cross-cut in the center of each square, being careful not to cut all the way through.
4. Place a few dates in the center of each square and crumble blue cheese on top.
5. Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling and brush the pastries with egg.
6. Bake in the oven for about 15-20 minutes or until the pastries are golden brown.
7. Allow to cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
