Ingredients
- 270 g firm tofu - 2 tbsp ground pork
- 4 shiitake mushrooms
- 2 cm piece of carrot
- 1/4 small onion or a piece of green onion
- 1 small clove garlic
- About 1 cm fresh ginger
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- Pinch of salt
- (Peanut) oil for frying

Sauce
- 2 tbsp soy sauce - 2 tsp cornstarch
- 7-8 tbsp water
- 1/6 chicken bouillon cube
Instructions
1. Cut the tofu in half and scoop out a cavity in each piece using a sharp spoon. 2. Prepare the filling: finely chop the onion, mushrooms, and carrot. Grate the garlic and ginger. Mix the filling ingredients together and fill the cavities of the tofu pieces.
3. Heat oil in a frying pan and place the tofu pieces in the pan with the filling side facing down. Fry until all sides are golden brown, about 15 minutes.
4. Prepare the sauce: mix soy sauce, cornstarch, and water, then crumble in the chicken bouillon cube.
5. Once the tofu pieces are fried, pour the sauce mixture into the pan and let it simmer for three minutes.
6. Serve the stuffed tofu cubes with rice, if desired.
