Ingredients

- 1 cup sugar
- 4 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup melted butter
- 2 eggs
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 ¼ cups milk
- Cardamom to taste
- 1 ½ tablespoons fresh yeast

Instructions

1. In a bowl, whisk the eggs and sugar until fluffy.
2. Add warm milk, salt, cardamom, and crumbled yeast. Mix well.
3. Gradually add the all-purpose flour into the dough and stir until smooth.
4. Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes, or until it doubles in size.
5. Shape the dough into rings and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
6. Let the rings rise on the sheet for about 15 minutes.
7. Brush the rings with beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse sugar.
8. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for about 10-15 minutes, until the rings are golden brown.
