A delicious and impressive dessert that combines the creaminess of chocolate with the lightness of meringue. Perfect for celebrations or special occasions. Preparation Time: 1 hour + cooling
Serving Size: 8-10 servings
Ingredients
- 1 tsp cornstarch- 2 dl heavy cream
- 2 dl sugar
- Grated dark chocolate (for garnish)
- 3 egg whites
- 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
- 100 g dark chocolate
- 1 egg yolk
- Meringue (for decoration)
Instructions
1. Draw a circle on parchment paper with a diameter of about 22 cm.2. Preheat the oven to 150°C (300°F).
3. In a bowl, mix together the cornstarch and sugar.
4. Whip the egg whites in a glass or metal bowl until they begin to froth.
5. Gradually add the sugar mixture while continuing to whip.
6. Add the apple cider vinegar and mix well.
7. Pour the meringue onto the parchment paper within the drawn circle and smooth it out evenly.
8. Bake in the oven for about 1 hour, or until the meringue is hard and dry.
9. Melt the dark chocolate and mix it with the egg yolk.
10. Whip the heavy cream and fold it into the melted chocolate.
11. Allow the meringue to cool, then fill it with the chocolate mousse.
12. Decorate with meringue and grated dark chocolate.
