Sugar Paste Rose
Sugar Paste Rose
recipe
A beautiful sugar paste rose, perfect for decorating summer celebrations such as graduation parties, confirmations, or weddings. After making the rose, allow it to dry at room temperature for proper hardening. Preparation Time: 1 hour + drying time (at least 24 hours)
Serving Size: 1 rose
Ingredients
- Sugar paste - Plastic wrap
- Powdered sugar
- Water (if needed)
Instructions
1. Shape the sugar paste into a bud with a "base." 2. Roll small balls of sugar paste for the petals.
3. Lightly dust powdered sugar on the plastic wrap.
4. Place a sugar paste ball between two layers of plastic wrap and flatten it into a petal shape.
5. Gently peel the petal away from the plastic wrap.
6. Attach the petal around the bud. You can use a little water at the attachment point if it doesn’t stick well.
7. Continue adding petals, attaching them so they rise above the top of the bud.
8. Add petals until the flower reaches your desired size.
9. You can gently pinch a small fold at the edges of the outer petals to give the flower a more natural look.
10. Cut the flower from the base with scissors and let it dry on the countertop for at least 24 hours before use.
