Crispy and delicious homemade French fries, perfect for dipping or as a side dish. Preparation time: 40 minutes. Serving size: 4 servings.

Ingredients:

- 4 medium potatoes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme (optional)

Instructions:

1. Peel and wash the potatoes thoroughly. Cut them into long strips about 1 cm thick.
2. Soak the potato strips in cold water for about 30 minutes to remove excess starch and make the fries crispier.
3. Drain the potatoes and dry them well with a kitchen towel.
4. Place the potatoes in a bowl and add olive oil, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and thyme. Mix well to evenly coat the potatoes with the spices.
5. Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
6. Spread the seasoned potatoes evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Ensure the fries are not overlapping.
7. Bake in the oven for about 25-30 minutes until golden brown and crispy, flipping the fries halfway through baking.
8. Remove the fries from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
