Ingredients:
- 300 g pasta (e.g., spaghetti or penne)
- Juice and zest of 2 lemons
- 50 g butter
- 100 g grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta in salted water according to the package instructions until al dente.
2. Drain the pasta, reserving a bit of the cooking water.
3. In a large skillet, melt the butter over low heat.
4. Add the lemon juice and zest to the butter and mix well.
5. Toss the cooked pasta into the skillet and add the Parmesan cheese. Stir until the pasta is well coated in the sauce.
6. If needed, add reserved cooking water to make the sauce creamy.
7. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
8. Serve immediately with fresh basil on top, if desired.
