This lemon cake base is a perfect sweet treat that adds freshness to any celebration. It's easy to make and great for various occasions. Preparation Time: 1 hour

Ingredients
- 4 eggs - 150 g sugar
- 2 tbsp vanilla sugar
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 1 cup oil (150 ml)
- 1 cup lemon soda (bitter lemon)
- 2 cl vodka
- 4 cups flour
- 3 tsp baking powder
Frosting:
- 150 g powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp lemon soda + a splash of vodka
Optional Decoration:
- Organic lemon soda
Instructions
1. Whip the eggs, sugar, and vanilla sugar at high speed until the mixture is light and fluffy. 2. Gradually add the lemon zest, oil, lemon soda, and vodka to the mixture. Mix well.
3. Sift in the flour and baking powder. Stir until you have a smooth batter.
4. Pour the batter into a greased and floured cake pan.
5. Bake at 175°C (350°F) for about 30-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the cake is cooked through.
6. Allow the cake to cool before frosting.
7. For the frosting, mix the powdered sugar, lemon soda, and vodka. Pour the frosting over the cooled cake.
8. If desired, decorate with organic lemon soda.
