Ingredients:
- 200 g dark chocolate
- 150 g butter
- 200 g sugar
- 4 eggs
- 100 g all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- A pinch of salt
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
2. Melt the dark chocolate and butter together in a saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth.
3. In a mixing bowl, whisk the sugar and eggs together until the mixture is light and fluffy.
4. Add the melted chocolate-butter mixture to the egg mixture and mix well.
5. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, vanilla sugar, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the chocolate mixture, stirring gently until combined.
6. Pour the batter into a greased cake pan.
7. Bake in the oven for about 25-30 minutes or until the cake is set. Test doneness with a toothpick; it should come out clean.
8. Allow the cake to cool before serving. Optionally, dust with powdered sugar or serve with whipped cream.
