Ingredients:
- 200 g herring (salted or marinated)
- 1 dl sour cream
- 1 dl thick yogurt
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp chopped chives
- 1 tbsp capers
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 dl finely chopped red onion
- Fresh herbs for garnish (e.g., dill or parsley)
Instructions:
1. Finely chop the herring into small pieces.
2. In a bowl, combine sour cream, thick yogurt, lemon juice, chives, capers, black pepper, and salt.
3. Add the chopped herring to the mixture and stir well.
4. Gently fold in the finely chopped red onion.
5. Spoon the herring caviar into serving dishes and garnish with fresh herbs.
6. Serve chilled, accompanied by toast or crispbread.
