A refreshing and rich sticky syrup cake that is the perfect dessert for any occasion. Preparation Time: 60 minutes
Serving Size: 8-10 servings
Ingredients:
- 200 g butter - 250 g sugar
- 3 eggs
- 250 ml syrup
- 300 g all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 100 ml milk
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease and flour a cake pan. 2. Melt the butter in a saucepan and add the sugar. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
3. Remove the saucepan from heat and let it cool slightly. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
4. Pour the syrup into the mixture and stir until smooth.
5. In a separate bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, vanilla sugar, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the batter, alternating with the milk. Mix until the batter is homogeneous.
6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
7. Bake in the oven for about 40-45 minutes, or until the cake is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
8. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
