A delicious and healthy recipe that combines cider-braised asparagus and broccolini, served on a bed of salad. Perfect as a side dish for sushi or a light meal.

Ingredients:

- Asparagus, broccolini, or broccolini stalks
- 2/3 cup water
- 1/3 cup dry apple cider
- 2 tablespoons cane sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions:

1. Trim the ends of the asparagus and broccolini by about 2 cm.
2. In a saucepan, combine water, cider, salt, and sugar. Bring the mixture to a boil.
3. Add the asparagus or broccolini to the boiling liquid.
- Cook asparagus for about 5 minutes.
- Cook broccolini for 3-4 minutes.
4. Place a few layers of paper towels on a cutting board.
5. Transfer the cooked vegetables to the paper towels and press gently to dry.
6. Sprinkle a little cane sugar on top.
7. Serve the vegetables over a bed of salad.
