A delicious pie combining mushrooms, reindeer meat, and root vegetables. Perfect savory treat for celebrations or everyday meals.

Ingredients:

- 200 g butter
- 3 dl all-purpose flour
- 1 dl grated parsnip
- 1 dl grated sunchoke
- 1 dl water
- 300 g mushrooms (e.g., button mushrooms or chanterelles)
- 200 g reindeer meat (e.g., sautéed reindeer)
- 1 onion
- 2 dl heavy cream
- 2 eggs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh herbs (e.g., parsley or thyme) for garnish

Instructions:

1. First, prepare the pie crust. Melt the butter and mix it in a bowl with the flour and grated parsnip. Add water and knead the dough until smooth.
2. Press the dough into a pie dish and pre-bake in a 180°C (350°F) oven for about 10 minutes.
3. Sauté the chopped onion in a pan, then add the mushrooms and cook until they are soft.
4. Add the reindeer meat to the pan and cook for a moment longer. Season with salt and pepper.
5. In a bowl, mix the heavy cream and eggs. Add the mushroom mixture and stir well.
6. Pour the filling over the pre-baked crust and bake the pie in the oven for about 30-40 minutes, until the filling is set and the top is beautifully golden brown.
7. Allow to cool slightly before serving. Garnish with fresh herbs.
