A delicious and nutritious bread perfect for breakfast or a snack. Easy to make and best enjoyed fresh. Preparation Time: 2 hours
Serving Size: 1 loaf
Ingredients:
- 1-2 tbsp honey (organic)
- 4 dl rye flour (organic)
- A splash of oil (optional)
- 2 tsp salt
- 7 dl spelt whole grain flour (organic)
- 5 dl water
- 1 packet dry yeast or 50 g fresh yeast
Instructions:
1. Dissolve honey and salt in warm water.
2. Stir in the rye flour combined with dry yeast.
3. Gradually add spelt flour until the dough starts to pull away from the sides of the bowl.
4. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until it is elastic.
5. Allow the dough to rise under a cloth in a warm place for about 1 hour.
6. Shape the dough into a loaf and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
7. Bake the bread at 200°C (392°F) for about 30-40 minutes, or until it is beautifully brown.
