This delicious smoked sausage recipe features juicy sausage wrapped in crispy bacon, infused with smoky flavors and served with a tangy BBQ sauce.
Ingredients:
- 500 g sausage
- 100 g bacon
- 2 tbsp BBQ sauce
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 Rocoto chili (or to taste)
- Fresh herbs (e.g., parsley or thyme) for garnish
Instructions:
1. Preheat your smoker or grill to a low temperature.
2. Wrap the sausage in bacon, ensuring it covers the entire sausage.
3. In a bowl, mix together BBQ sauce, olive oil, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and finely chopped Rocoto chili.
4. Brush the bacon-wrapped sausage with the marinade you prepared.
5. Place the sausage in the smoker and smoke for about 30-40 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the sausage is heated through.
6. Remove the sausage from the smoker and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
