A delicious and flavorful salmon dish that combines Eastern flavors with Finnish fish. Preparation time: 30 minutes
Serving size: 4
Ingredients:
- Salmon fillet, enough for 4 servings - Salt
- White pepper
- 5 tablespoons ginger, thinly sliced
- 5 tablespoons garlic, thinly sliced
- 0.5 dl Japanese soy sauce
- 1 dl rice vinegar
- 0.5 dl sugar
- Toasted sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Season the salmon fillet with salt and white pepper. 2. Bake the salmon in the oven at 175°C (350°F) for about 20 minutes, or alternatively, grill or pan-fry it.
3. Slice the ginger and garlic into very thin slices.
4. In a saucepan, combine the soy sauce and rice vinegar and bring to a boil.
5. Add the sugar, garlic, and ginger slices to the saucepan and bring to a boil again. Allow the mixture to steep for a moment.
6. Pour the sauce evenly over the salmon before serving.
7. Serve with rice and garnish with toasted sesame seeds.
