Ingredients:
- 4 carrots
- 200 g herring fillets
- 3 tbsp mayonnaise
Instructions:
1. Soak the herring fillets in water for about 30 minutes if you prefer a less salty taste.
2. Boil the carrots with their skins in a pot for about 15-20 minutes until they are tender.
3. Prepare another pot with cold water and add ice.
4. Once the carrots are cooked, quickly transfer them to the ice water and cool for about 5 minutes.
5. Peel the cooled carrots and mash them with a fork.
6. Add the herring slices and mayonnaise to the mashed carrots. Mix well.
7. Serve immediately or let it chill in the refrigerator before serving.
