Stuffed Shell Pasta with Ricotta and Pork Filling

A delicious and hearty baked dish featuring shell-shaped pasta filled with a savory ricotta and pork mixture, baked in a rich tomato sauce. Perfect for pasta lovers!Preparation Time: 1.5 hours

Ingredients:
- 300 g shell-shaped pasta- 400 g ground pork
- 250 g ricotta cheese
- 100 g grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 dl fresh herbs (e.g., basil and parsley)
- 400 g tomato sauce
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 onion
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 200 g shredded cheese (e.g., mozzarella or Emmental)
Instructions:
1. Cook the shell-shaped pasta according to package instructions in salted water until al dente. Drain and let cool.2. Sauté the chopped onion and crushed garlic in a pan until softened.
3. In a bowl, mix the ground pork, ricotta, Parmesan cheese, herbs, and sautéed onion and garlic. Season with salt and pepper.
4. Fill the cooled shell pasta with the meat mixture.
5. Spread half of the tomato sauce in a baking dish and arrange the stuffed pasta on top. Pour the remaining tomato sauce over the pasta and sprinkle shredded cheese evenly on top.
6. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 60 minutes, until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
7. Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
