Delicious and tender, these oven-baked ribs are a perfect alternative to smoking and grilling. Preparation time is about 3 hours, and this recipe serves 4.Ingredients:
- 1 kg ribs
- 2 tbsp salt
- 2 tbsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp paprika
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 2 dl BBQ sauce
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 110°C (230°F).
2. Prepare the ribs: remove the membrane from the ribs and pat them dry with paper towels.
3. In a bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and sugar.
4. Rub the spice mixture evenly over the ribs.
5. Place the ribs on a baking sheet, bone side down, and cover with foil.
6. Bake the ribs in the oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, until the meat is tender and easily pulls away from the bones.
7. Remove the ribs from the oven and brush them with BBQ sauce.
8. Increase the oven temperature to 220°C (430°F) and bake the ribs for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the sauce is bubbling and slightly caramelized.
9. Let the ribs rest for a few minutes before serving.
