Serving Size: 4 burgers
Ingredients:
- 500 g ground beef
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 4 burger buns
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 1/2 head of lettuce, torn
- 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
- 4 tbsp mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp mustard
- Butter for frying
Instructions:
1. Heat a frying pan over medium heat and add butter.
2. Shape the ground beef into four patties and season with salt and pepper.
3. Cook the patties in the pan for about 4-5 minutes on each side until cooked through.
4. Add a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty and cover the pan to let the cheese melt.
5. At the same time, toast the burger buns in another pan until golden brown.
6. Assemble the burgers: place lettuce on the bottom half of the bun, add the cheese-topped patty, tomato slices, red onion, and finish with mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard.
7. Cap the burger with the top half of the bun and serve immediately.
