A delicious recipe for making burgers in three different styles, perfect for any gathering. Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 4 burgers
Ingredients:
- 500 g ground beef (or chicken, or plant-based)
- 4 burger buns
- 4 slices of cheese (e.g., cheddar)
- 1 large tomato
- 1 lettuce leaf
- 1 red onion
- 1 avocado (optional)
- Mayonnaise
- Ketchup
- Salt and pepper
- Grill seasoning (optional)
Instructions:
1. Shape the ground meat or plant-based mixture into patties. Season with salt, pepper, and grill seasoning if desired.
2. Preheat the grill (charcoal, gas, or electric) to medium heat.
3. Grill the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side until cooked through. Add cheese slices on top of the patties during the last few minutes to melt.
4. Slice the tomato and red onion. If using, slice the avocado as well.
5. Lightly toast the burger buns on the grill.
6. Assemble the burgers: place a lettuce leaf on the bottom bun, followed by the cheese-topped patty, tomato slices, red onion, and avocado. Add mayonnaise and ketchup to taste.
7. Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately while warm.
