Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 500 g ground beef - 1 dl breadcrumbs
- 1 dl milk
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 1 head of lettuce, torn
- 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
- Mayonnaise and ketchup to taste
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, mix together the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, salt, and black pepper. Knead the mixture until smooth.2. Shape the mixture into four burger patties.
3. Heat a grill or skillet over medium heat. Grill the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked through.
4. Add the cheddar cheese slices on top of the patties during the last minute of grilling to melt the cheese.
5. Lightly toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in the skillet.
6. Assemble the burgers: Place the bottom bun on a plate, add lettuce, a burger patty with cheese, tomato slices, red onion, and top with mayonnaise and ketchup. Cover with the top bun.
7. Serve immediately and enjoy!
