- 400 g herring fillets
- 1 packet of Koskenlaskija cheese
- 2 dl rye flour
- 1 dl breadcrumbs
- White pepper
- Salt
- Fresh or dried dill
- Lemon juice
- Butter for frying
Instructions:
1. Mix rye flour, breadcrumbs, and white pepper on a plate.
2. Take half of the herring fillets and place them skin-side up. Roll the fillets in the flour mixture, ensuring a generous coating on the skin side.
3. Place the fillets on a baking paper with the skin side down.
4. Cut small slices of Koskenlaskija cheese and place them on top of each fillet.
5. Season with dill, salt, and white pepper.
6. Fry in butter in a skillet over medium heat until the fillets are golden brown and the cheese melts.
7. Serve with lemon juice.
