This savory pie combines the earthy flavors of porcini mushrooms and the richness of reindeer meat, all baked in a flaky crust. Perfect for a cozy meal!
Ingredients:
- 2 dl heavy cream
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 75 g onions, chopped
- 2 dl all-purpose flour
- 0.25 tsp salt
- 1 packet margarine (about 250 g)
- 2 dl grated cheese
- 3 dl cooked porcini mushrooms
- 2 slices smoked reindeer meat, chopped
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp black pepper cream cheese
- 1 tsp Provençal herbs
- Rapeseed oil for frying
Instructions:
1. Cook the porcini mushrooms until you have 3 dl. Set aside.
2. Prepare the dough by mixing softened margarine with flour and salt.
3. Add heavy cream to the dough mixture and combine until smooth.
4. Press the dough into the bottom and sides of a pie dish.
5. Sauté the chopped onion and garlic in rapeseed oil until soft.
6. Add the cooked porcini mushrooms and chopped smoked reindeer meat to the pan; mix well.
7. Spread the mushroom mixture evenly over the pie crust.
8. In a bowl, whisk the eggs, then add the cream cheese and Provençal herbs; mix thoroughly.
9. Pour the egg mixture over the filling and sprinkle grated cheese on top.
10. Bake the pie in an oven preheated to 200°C (392°F) for about 30-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
11. Allow the pie to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
