Delicious reindeer and feta cheese pie. Perfect for a cozy meal! Preparation Time: 1 hour
Serving Size: 6-8 servings
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of quark
- 250 g butter, softened
- 4 dl all-purpose flour (1 dl can be replaced with barley flour)
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 200 g reindeer meat (such as reindeer meat or liver)
- 150 g feta cheese
- 1 dl cream
- 1 egg
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh herbs (such as parsley or chives)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the crust: In a bowl, mix the quark and softened butter. Add the all-purpose and barley flour along with the baking powder. Knead the dough until smooth.
2. Press the dough into the bottom and sides of a pie dish. Pre-bake the crust in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 10 minutes.
3. Prepare the filling: Chop the reindeer meat and feta cheese. Combine them with the cream and add the egg. Season with salt, pepper, and fresh herbs.
4. Pour the filling over the pre-baked crust.
5. Bake the pie in the oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 30-40 minutes, or until the top is beautifully golden brown.
6. Allow the pie to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy it warm or at room temperature!
