Carrot Buns

Delicious and nutritious buns that combine the sweetness of carrots with a soft texture. Preparation time: about 1.5 hours
Serving size: 10 buns
Ingredients:
- 500 g carrots
- 8 dl milk
- 50 g yeast
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp fine sugar
- 1 kg all-purpose flour
- 1-2 dl oats (optional)
Instructions:
1. Peel and grate the carrots.
2. Heat the milk in a saucepan and add the grated carrots. Warm it up, but do not boil.
3. Dissolve the yeast in the warm milk and carrot mixture.
4. Add salt and sugar, and mix well.
5. Gradually add all-purpose flour until the dough reaches a suitable consistency.
6. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until it is elastic.
7. If desired, add oats to the dough.
8. Let the dough rise under a cloth for about 30-45 minutes.
9. Shape the dough into buns and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
10. Let the buns rise for another 15-20 minutes.
11. Bake at 200 °C (392 °F) for about 15-20 minutes, until the buns are beautifully golden brown.
