A delicious and innovative alternative to traditional cold-smoked salmon, perfect for celebrations or as a light snack. Preparation Time: 24 hours (for marinating)
Serving Size: 4-6 servings
Ingredients:
- 2 medium carrots- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 tablespoon liquid smoke flavoring
- 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon dried dill (optional)
Instructions:
1. Peel the carrots and cut them into thin slices or strips lengthwise.2. In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, olive oil, liquid smoke, red wine vinegar, sea salt, black pepper, sugar, and dried dill.
3. Add the carrot slices to the marinade and stir well to ensure all pieces are coated.
4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 24 hours to marinate.
5. Serve the vegan porkkala on top of blinis or bread.
