Ingredients
- 500 g chicken breast fillets - 2 tbsp yogurt
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tsp garam masala spice blend
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 fresh chili, chopped
- 1 can (400 g) crushed tomatoes
- 200 ml coconut milk or cream
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander for garnish
Instructions
1. Marinate the chicken pieces in yogurt, lemon juice, garam masala, turmeric, and chili powder for about 30 minutes. 2. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and add the chopped onion. Sauté the onion until soft and golden brown.
3. Add the crushed garlic and chopped chili, and cook for another minute.
4. Add the marinated chicken pieces to the pan and cook until the chicken is cooked through.
5. Pour in the crushed tomatoes and coconut milk/cream. Mix well and let it simmer for about 15 minutes.
6. Season with salt and serve with fresh coriander on top.
