Ingredients:
- 200 g dark chocolate
- 150 g butter
- 250 g sugar
- 4 eggs
- 150 g all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- A pinch of salt
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (160°C for fan oven).
2. Melt the dark chocolate and butter in a saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth.
3. Add the sugar to the melted chocolate mixture and mix well.
4. Incorporate the eggs one at a time, stirring after each addition.
5. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, vanilla sugar, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the chocolate mixture and stir until the batter is smooth.
6. Pour the batter into a greased and floured cake pan.
7. Bake in the oven for about 25-30 minutes. The surface should be firm, but the inside can remain slightly moist.
8. Allow the cake to cool before serving. Optionally, dust with powdered sugar or serve with whipped cream.
