A delicious and soft chocolate cake with a sophisticated mint flavor in the frosting. Perfect for celebrations or everyday treats! Preparation Time: 1 hour
Serving Size: 8-10 servings
Ingredients:
- 200 g dark chocolate - 100 g butter
- 1 dl sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 dl all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 dl milk
- 1/2 tsp salt

Frosting:
- 1 egg white - 2 dl powdered sugar
- 1 tsp mint extract
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease and flour a 1.4-liter cake pan.2. Melt the chocolate and butter together in a saucepan over low heat. Stir until smooth.
3. Add the sugar to the chocolate mixture and mix well. Add the eggs one at a time, blending until fully incorporated.
4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry mixture to the chocolate mixture, alternating with the milk. Stir until the batter is smooth.
5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake in the oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the cake is set. Allow to cool in the pan.
6. Prepare the frosting: In a bowl, beat the egg white and gradually add the powdered sugar until the desired consistency is reached. Flavor with mint extract.
7. Spread the frosting over the cooled cake and let it set before serving.
