A simple and delicious pasta carbonara that comes together quickly and is sure to please the whole family.
Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 300 g pasta (spaghetti or penne)
- 150 g bacon (or pancetta)
- 2 eggs
- 100 g grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 garlic cloves
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta in salted water according to package instructions until al dente.
2. Cut the bacon into small pieces and fry in a pan until golden brown. Add crushed garlic cloves to the pan and sauté for another minute.
3. In a bowl, mix the eggs and grated Parmesan cheese. Season the mixture with salt and black pepper.
4. Once the pasta is cooked, drain it, saving a little of the cooking water. Add the pasta to the pan with bacon and garlic.
5. Remove the pan from heat and quickly stir in the egg mixture with the pasta. Add a bit of the reserved cooking water if needed to achieve a creamy consistency.
6. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley and additional Parmesan cheese on top.
