A delicious and hearty home-cooked dish, perfect for the winter season.

Serving Size: 4 servings

Ingredients:

- 1 medium cabbage
- 400 g ground meat (beef or pork-beef mix)
- 2 dl rice
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 dl tomato sauce
- 1 dl water
- 2 tbsp oil

Instructions:

1. Cook the rice according to package instructions and let it cool.
2. Carefully remove the leaves from the cabbage and boil them in salted water for about 5-10 minutes until softened. Drain and let cool.
3. Finely chop the onion and garlic, then sauté them in oil in a pan.
4. In a bowl, mix the ground meat, cooked rice, sautéed onion and garlic, egg, salt, and pepper.
5. Take one cabbage leaf and place about a tablespoon of the filling on it, fold the edges in, and roll it tightly into a cabbage roll.
6. Place the rolls in a baking dish, pour the tomato sauce and water over them.
7. Cover the dish with foil and bake at 180°C (350°F) for about 45 minutes.
8. Serve warm.
