Ingredients:
- 8 oz (225 g) pasta (fettuccine or spaghetti) - 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside. 2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Reduce the heat and stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and combined.
5. Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
