A collection of three quick and delicious accompaniments that perfectly complement ham. Preparation time is about 30 minutes, serving size is 4-6 people.Ingredients:
Cranberry Chili Relish:- 200 g cranberries
- 1 red chili, finely chopped
- 1 dl sugar
- 0.5 dl water
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Apple Rosemary Sauce:
- 2 apples, diced
- 1 dl apple juice
- 1 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped
- 1 tbsp honey
- Salt and pepper to taste
Henri Alén's Mustard:
- 1 dl mustard powder
- 0.5 dl red wine
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- Salt to taste
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Cranberry Chili Relish: - Combine cranberries, chili, sugar, and water in a saucepan. Heat over medium until the sugar dissolves and the mixture begins to bubble.
- Simmer for about 10 minutes until thickened. Stir in lemon juice and cool before serving.
2. Make the Apple Rosemary Sauce:
- In a saucepan, combine diced apples and apple juice. Heat and simmer over low for about 5 minutes.
- Stir in rosemary, honey, salt, and pepper. Allow to cool.
3. Prepare the Mustard:
- In a bowl, mix mustard powder and red wine. Add honey and apple cider vinegar, stirring well. Season with salt. Let it sit in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes.
