A delicious glazed tofu ham that is a perfect addition to your holiday table. Preparation Time: 1 hour
Serving Size: 4-6 people
Ingredients:
- 400 g tofu - 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 50 g nuts (e.g., walnuts), chopped
- 1 dl breadcrumbs
Instructions:
1. Prepare the tofu: Gently press the tofu to remove excess liquid. Cut the tofu into thick slices. 2. Make the marinade: In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, maple syrup, olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, Dijon mustard, and balsamic vinegar.
3. Marinate: Place the tofu slices in the marinade and let them sit for about 30 minutes.
4. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
5. Prepare the glaze: Combine the chopped nuts and breadcrumbs in a bowl.
6. Remove the marinated tofu from the marinade and place it on a baking sheet. Sprinkle the nut-breadcrumb mixture over the tofu slices.
7. Bake in the oven for about 25-30 minutes, until the top is beautifully golden brown.
8. Serve warm and enjoy at your vegan Christmas feast!
