Ingredients:
- 300 g pasta (e.g., penne or spaghetti)
- 200 g fresh spinach
- 200 ml heavy cream
- 100 g grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta in salted water according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
2. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until soft.
3. Add the minced garlic and sauté for another minute.
4. Add the fresh spinach to the pan and cook until wilted.
5. Pour in the heavy cream and stir well. Let the sauce simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes.
6. Mix in the cooked pasta and grated Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and black pepper.
7. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh basil if desired.
