Ingredients:
- 200 g dark chocolate
- 150 g butter
- 250 g sugar
- 4 eggs
- 100 g all-purpose flour
- 50 g cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- A pinch of salt
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and flour a cake pan.
2. Melt the dark chocolate and butter together in a water bath or microwave until smooth.
3. Stir the sugar into the melted chocolate-butter mixture until well combined.
4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition.
5. Sift the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt into the mixture. Gently fold until just combined.
6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
7. Bake in the oven for about 25-30 minutes, until the edges are firm but the center is slightly soft.
8. Allow to cool before serving. Optionally, dust with powdered sugar or top with chocolate frosting.
