Ingredients:

- 300 g pasta (e.g., spaghetti or fusilli)
- 400 g cherry tomatoes
- 200 g mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions:

1. Cook the pasta according to the package directions in salted water until al dente. Drain the pasta and reserve a cup of the cooking water.
2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about one minute until fragrant.
3. Add the cherry tomatoes to the skillet and cook until they are soft and start to burst, about 5-7 minutes.
4. Add the drained pasta to the tomatoes and mix well. If the pasta seems dry, add a bit of the reserved cooking water.
5. Cut the mozzarella into cubes and add it to the pasta. Stir until the cheese starts to melt.
6. Season with salt and black pepper. Serve with fresh basil on top.
