A delicious, aromatic Italian bread perfect for sharing. Preparation Time: 2 hours 30 minutes
Serving Size: 8 servings
Ingredients:
- 500 g all-purpose flour
- 10 g salt
- 7 g dry yeast
- 400 ml warm water
- 50 ml olive oil
- Fresh herbs (such as rosemary or thyme)
- Sea salt flakes for topping
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, combine the flour, salt, and dry yeast.
2. Add the warm water and olive oil, mixing until the dough is smooth.
3. Cover the bowl with a cloth and let the dough rise at room temperature for about 1-2 hours.
4. Pour the risen dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spreading it out evenly.
5. Make deep dimples in the dough with your fingers and drizzle olive oil over the top.
6. Sprinkle fresh herbs and sea salt flakes on top.
7. Allow the dough to rise for another 30 minutes.
8. Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F) and bake the focaccia for about 20-25 minutes, until golden brown.
9. Let it cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
