Ingredients:
- Cake Base:- 1 ½ cups sugar
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ⅓ cup cocoa powder
- ⅔ cup milk
- ⅓ cup oil
- 3 eggs
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- A pinch of salt
- Mint Chocolate Filling:
- 7 oz dark chocolate
- ¾ cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp mint extract
- 2 tbsp sugar
- Decoration:
- Fondant (white and colored)
- Royal icing (made from powdered sugar and water)
- Flower paste (for shaping a bear)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the cake base. In a bowl, beat together sugar and eggs until light and fluffy. Add milk and oil, mixing well.2. Combine dry ingredients (flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, vanilla sugar, and salt) and sift them into the batter. Mix until smooth.
3. Pour the batter into a greased and floured cake pan. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 30-35 minutes, or until the cake is cooked through. Allow to cool.
4. Prepare the mint chocolate filling. Heat the heavy cream in a saucepan and add chopped chocolate. Stir until the chocolate melts. Add mint extract and sugar. Let it cool.
5. Slice the cooled cake into three layers. If desired, moisten the layers and fill with mint chocolate filling.
6. Cover the cake with fondant and shape desired decorations, such as a bear made from flower paste.
7. Use royal icing to pipe ribbons and banners on top of the cake.
8. Prepare a separate plaque with the baby's name and serve it alongside the cake.
